Law firm software migration

Migrate off Needles, Clio, MyCase, ProLaw, MerusCase or Docketwise. Reconciled before go-live.

Send us the old system and get a written map back: what moves, what needs cleanup and what will not come across. Then a sandbox load your team tests on real records, a delta pass at cutover and a signed reconciliation report.

How we run it

Extract, map, load, prove

Nothing is frozen and nothing goes live on trust.

1

Extract and profile

We read the source, count everything and find what is dirty.

2

Map in writing

A field-by-field mapping your team approves before a single record moves.

3

Load to sandbox

You see your own data in the new system before production.

4

Cut over

Delta pass for anything new, reconciliation signed off, then go live.

Where it lands

Filevine or Litify, built by the same team that runs the move

Micronetbd is a Filevine certified implementation partner and a Litify consultancy. The destination is configured to how your firm runs a matter, the documents keep their folder tree, and the same people carry the project from the first export to the first month live.

Questions

Migration questions

How long does the migration take?

It depends on the size of the database, the document store and how much cleanup the profiling turns up. The written map comes first and the timeline goes in the fixed-scope quote with it, so you know both before anything moves.

Can the firm keep working during the move?

Yes. Nothing is frozen. We load the sandbox from a snapshot, your team tests on real records, and a delta pass at cutover brings across everything that changed in between.

What does the reconciliation report contain?

Source counts against destination counts, field by field and document by document, every exception listed with a reason, and spot checks against the source on real records. Your team signs it off before go-live and it is your audit trail afterwards.

What if our system is not listed?

Send it anyway. Twenty-five plus source systems so far, and if yours is not among them we have very likely read a database like it. The written map costs you an export, not a commitment.

Who owns the data during the move?

You do, throughout. SOC 2 Type 2 controls apply to your client data while it is with us, and the reconciliation report is yours to keep.

After go-live

After the migration: somebody accountable for the new platform

A migration lands the data; the retainer keeps the platform working afterwards, with a named admin and a flat monthly fee: managed services, Filevine managed services, Litify managed services.

Send us the old system. Get a map back.

An export or a database schema is enough to start.
